Hanju Yang

Contributor Hanju YangHanju Yang (楊罕琚) is a music journalist and arts administrator whose work spans concert production and cultural writing. He is a member of the Shanghai Association of Art Critics.

Hanju writes extensively for leading music publications in China, including Music Weekly, Music Lover magazine, and Philharmonic magazine, alongside contributions to major national and regional media such as People’s Daily, Beijing Daily, The Paper (Shanghai), and Guangming Daily. He also regularly provides concert programme notes for prominent venues including Shanghai Symphony Hall, Shanghai Oriental Art Center, and Shenzhen’s Mountain View Theater.

Trained in music from an early age, Hanju has studied piano, conducting, and musicology through private mentorship and university study. He is a graduate of University College London, where he completed BA and MA in English Literature and Modern Culture Studies.
