Frank Xu

avatarGraduated from Xinghai Conservatory of Music Composition Department, Frank Xu (许哲韬) considers himself as an immature composition enthusiast. After attending the concert of Evgeny Svetlanov when he was still a little boy, Xu became attached to classical music from then on. Over the years, he has savored memorable experiences working with various maestros — he was the page turner for Angela Gheorghiu’s accompanist at her recital and took care of Charles Dutoit’s baton. Since 2011, he began writing reviews for classical music concerts and operas for various newspapers and magazines in Chinese. He also served as an editor for a famous classical music WeChat Official Account 潮人谈, and has interviewed numerous established musicians from around the world, including Julia Fischer, Cecilia Bartoli, Anna Caterina Antonacci, José Carreras and many more.
