Albéniz: Transcriptions for Oboe and Piano

Albéniz: Evocation, from Ibéria, Book 1

Oboist David Walter transcribed Albéniz’ masterpiece for piano, Iberia into a work for oboe and piano.

The original version, full of Oriental resonances, has the sensuality intensified by the sound of the oboe, together with pianist Jean-Marc Bonn, David Walter made a unique and wonderful recording.
