There are two questions here that are wrong.
Beethoven did not go to Vienna to replace Mozart. He went to study with Mozart. But was called home by his father after two weeks. His mother was dying of consumption.
Beethoven did not lose his hearing after an argument with a singer. It was a condition he had through poor health and it became a problem to Beethoven from the age of 30. Also he suffered from tinnitus.
