Established in 1995, the event is now Ireland’s leading chamber music event, featuring an extensive nine-day programme including concerts, talks and masterclasses. Led by the finest international musicians, concerts take place in the intimate St Brendan’s Church, Bantry and the historic Bantry House on the shores of the famous Bantry Bay. Performances from morning to late night feature a unique blend of some of the most popular works in the repertoire and exciting contemporary compositions. Masterclasses take place throughout the week alongside an exhibition featuring Ireland’s violin and bow makers. With a scenic setting, the intimacy of the festival creates a special community of musicians and music-lovers.
