Founded in 1960 by the Musical Society of Turku, the festival provides top classical music for a wide range of tastes, including orchestral concerts, chamber music, recitals, jazz, and concerts for children. Held in Turku, the medieval city situated on the southwest coast of Finland, it is the oldest music festival in the country. Featuring over 50 concerts to exploring a set theme each year, audiences will be led around the beautiful archipelago and caves for a musical morning swim as well as to the famous grand halls and churches in Turku. With leading Finnish and international artists as featured performers, audience will certainly find joy in the refined musical selection by artistic director and renowned tenor Topi Lehtipuu.
