Is it time to prescribe Mozart? According to veterinary neurologist Susan O. Wagner, DVM, MS, DACVIM, an adjunct faculty member at The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine in Columbus and coauthor of Through a Dog’s Ear: Using Sound to Improve the Health & Behavior of Your Canine Companion, the answer is a resounding yes. At the Fetch dvm360® virtual conference this week, Wagner presented evidence that suggests sound affects animals on a psychological level.
