First launched in 1993, the festival is hailed by the Virginia Commission for the Arts as the “jewel in Harrisonburg’s crown”. Each summer, this week-long music event takes place on the campus of Eastern Mennonite University, devoted to promoting appreciation of the music by J.S. Bach and a different featured composer, country, era or person.
