Concerts are held in historical architecture, such as Eberbach Abbey and Schloss Johannisberg, in the wine-growing Rheingau region between Wiesbaden and Lorch. Traditionally, the festival begins and ends in Eberbach Abbey with a concert of the hr-Sinfonieorchester, broadcast live.
