Taking place since 1939 at the famous gourmet hub San Sebastián, the festival is one of the oldest and most important cultural offerings dedicated to music in Spain. The event’s extensive programmes cover all genres and styles, ranging from early music to contemporary with performances of solo instruments, vocal, chamber ensembles, orchestras and choirs, opera and dance. The quality of the programmes and reputation of the performing casts have earned the festival a great prestige. Big names like Placido Domingo, Alfredo Kraus, Luciano Pavarotti have all made their appearance on the Quincena stage. Atop attending the wonderful concerts, visitors can also enjoy the spectacular panoramic view of the Bay of La Concha.
