Date: July 20 to 30, 2022
Country: China
Founded by the Shanghai Symphony Orchestra in 2010, the annual event is the first large-scale summer classical music festival in the city. Outdoor performances of classical music, occasionally fusing with various cultural elements such as movies, animations, folk and country music, are organized in parks all over the cosmopolitan city. With the aim to make classical music more accessible and intimate, educational workshops and lectures are held alongside concerts for children. Yundi Li, Hyungi Kim, Chris Botti and many more established artists have appeared in previous editions.
