Held at Lake Yamanaka, the biggest of the Fuji Five Lakes, the festival has gained national recognition together with the Mount Fuji Jazz Festival. It serves as a branch of the latter with a focus on classical music. With a strong incentive of promoting classical repertoires to reach more of the general public, the event invites numerous notable young musicians as well as amateurs onto the stage each year. At the scenic festival venues, guests can also enjoy boating, fishing, water-skiing, windsurfing, and swimming.
