With the aim to enrich the musical scene of San Diego, the festival was founded in 1988 by Maestro David Atherton, bringing established classical music performers from around the globe to the birthplace of California. Concerts, public performances and insightful meet-the-artist sessions are held in the historic Balboa Theatre every year, presenting music of Mozart and other Masters to the audience.
