Founded in 1981 by John Lang and Gordon Clark, the event is an annual multi-art-form festival in Staffordshire. Located in the famous cathedral city of England, it aims to combine high quality, challenging and diverse events of an international caliber. Performances cover diverse genres including drama, dance, film, literature, visual arts, jazz, folk, classical and world music. World heralded musicians such as Ravi Shankar, Alla Rakha, Valery Gergiev, Evgeny Kissin, Maxim Vengerov, Vadim Repin, András Schiff have all previously performed on the Lichfield stage.
