Founded in 1970 by cellist Seppo Kimanen, the Kuhmo Chamber Music Festival is Finland’s largest chamber music festival. Located at the border town with Russia, the Festival has become an annual meeting ground of the world-renowned music-makers such as pianist Pierre-Laurent Aimard and the Borodin Quartet, as well as music lovers from all corners of the globe for artistic exchange and performances in a setting full of natural beauty and charm.
