Founded in 1954 by the city of Toulouse, the singing competition is held biennially in Toulouse, centre of the European aerospace industry in southwestern France. Young and passionate vocalists are welcomed to perform opera excerpts, Oratorio and lieder with at least one piece by a French composer. The jury panel comprises opera professionals, artistic directors and experienced conductors from around the world. Competition finalists will be accompanied by the Orchestre national du Capitole for the performance of arias.
