With the aim to promote music appreciation in Reims, the city of coronations and champagne in France, a series of summer promenade concerts performed by renowned, world-class musicians is organized every year. Music pervades the city’s courtyards, gardens and at prestigious UNESCO World Heritage sites such as the cathedral, Saint Remi basilica and its cloisters. The festival includes all types of music, be it classical, baroque, romantic, transcription, improvisation or jazz. It is widely recognized as an international music event with high artistic calibre.
