First launched in 1953, the festival is an irreplaceable cultural event in Slovenia, offering a variety of musical, theatrical and dance performances by leading local and international stars. Every year, artists and audience gather around Križanke, one of the architectural masterpieces of the famous Slovene architect Jože Plecnik, to enjoy the events. World renowned musicians have appeared on the Ljublijana stage, including Lord Yehudi Menuhin, Riccardo Muti, Gidon Kremer, Valery Gergiev and many more.
