Initiated by fashion designer and entrepreneur Pierre Cardin in 2000, the event is an annual summer festival dedicated to opera and theater. Located at the heart of the Lubéron, the programme covers performances of musical theater, ballet, singing and comic opera. As the home of Marquis de Sade, an eighteenth-century writer and libertine, guests can also marvel at the impressive castle in ruins once belonged to the Marquis’ family.
