Named after the talented pianist Felicja Blumental, the festival was first launched in 1999 by the Tel Aviv Museum of Art. Since then, the annual event has played an important role in making the musical scene in Tel Aviv ever interesting and alive. Many of today’s Israeli stars made their debut with this week-long celebration of chamber, orchestral, vocal, and folk music. Louis Lortie, Philippe Jaroussky, Karita Mattila, and many more established musicians have appeared in previous editions.
