Date: October 6 to 16, 2017
First established in 1983, the contest is held every three years in Darmstadt, a city famous for science and culture in Southern Germany. With a special dedication to Chopin, contestants will perform piano works composed by the master exclusively, including his Etudes, Polonaises, Mazurkas and Concertos with a symphony orchestra. Internationally established pianists and music professors are invited as jury. Former jurors include Maciej Lukaszczyk, Jerzy Sterczynski and Sachiko Kodama.

- The Alice & Eleonore Schoenfeld International String Competition First established in 2013, the competition aims to promote highly gifted young musicians.
