Date: June 12 to 28, 2020 (Cancelled)
Country: United Kingdom
Founded in 1948 by Benjamin Britten, with singer Peter Pears and writer Eric Crozier, the festival has brought together international stars and emerging talent, including world renowned artists such as Fischer-Dieskau, Menuhin, Sviatoslav Richter and Rostropovich to the east coast of England. Being one of the foremost festivals which engages in education and supports young artists, various projects were introduced such as the Britten-Pears Programme, to provide valuable opportunities for young musicians to collaborate with leading conductors, soloists and orchestral principals. Alongside solo recitals, orchestral concerts and film screenings, masterclasses are also organized during the festival.
