Date: September 6 to 18, 2017
Established in 1988, the competition is held every four years in Tokyo. It aims at discovering talented organists from around the world, providing them with a platform for inter-cultural exchanges. Contestants will perform works by Bach, Mendelssohn, Jehan Alain as well as music by living composers. The international jury comprises established organists and professors. Previous jurors include Piet Kee, Marie-Claire Alain and Andrea Marcon. The first prize winner will have the opportunity to release a CD under Naxos and perform on tour in Japan.
